Local media in Hamburg, Germany, claimed that a church shooting there resulted in seven fatalities and at least eight injuries. According to earlier media reports, six individuals were killed in the incident on Thursday night about 9 p.m., according to Xinhua news agency. Later, another body was discovered on the upper portion of the structure, according to German daily Bild, which also noted that the police claimed it was presently unclear whether the body belonged to the perpetrator.The police further stated that there was no proof of a suspect running away.Earlier, local police stated that a significant operation was taking place nearby.Peter Tschentscher, the mayor of Hamburg, sent his sympathies to the families of the victims. He posted on Twitter that police were making a full effort to find the offenders and shed light on the backdrop.
