The head of the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen was killed in an incident in Srinagar on Sunday, the police stated, calling it “a significant accomplishment against terrorism”.
Saifullah, who had assumed responsibility for the outfit after the executing of Riyaz Naikoo in May this year, was one of the most needed terrorist organization in the Jammu and Kashmir and was engaged with a few assaults on the security powers, an authority said.
“Dr Saifullah who was the main leader of Hizbul Mujahideen has been slaughtered in the experience. It was a fruitful activity,” Jammu and Kashmir police boss Dilbag Singh told news organization ANI.
“This is a gigantic accomplishment for the police and security powers. This is anything but a little accomplishment,” senior cop Vijay Kumar told journalists at the experience site.
He said they had gotten data that Saifullah had come to Srinagar from south Kashmir and was stowing away in a house.
“So the security powers cordoned off the region and an activity was dispatched. In the trading of terminating, one assailant was executed. As indicated by our source, we are 95 percent sure he is Dr Saifullah. We are recovering the body and it will be recognized,” Mr Kumar added.
Mr Kumar said the organization of Jammu and Kashmir Police has gotten more grounded and the police get data about any fear based oppressors entering the city.
Asked whether some other fear monger was gotten alive from the experience site, he said a suspect has been arrested and is being addressed.
