The office-bearers of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) had a meeting on May 1 over the hosting of the upcoming T20 International between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on June 12. The initial discussions with the major stakeholders who will be responsible for the smooth conduct of this match have already started, the OCA management informed.
Soon the OCA management will have a coordination meeting with the Commissionerate Police of the Twin City (Bhubaneswar & Cuttack). With proactive President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Secretary Sanjay Behera, working overtime, the Odisha Cricket Association has requested O Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Sports Department Secretary R Vineel Krishna, and Commissioner of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commisionerate SK Priyadarsi to allow 2nd T20 International match between India and South Africa to be hosted at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on June 12 with spectators as the Covid-19 situation in the State has improved.
Online booking for the First T20 International Cricket Match between India and South Africa slated for June 12, will begin from June 1, informed Odisha Cricket Association President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty while the counter tickets for the forthcoming India-South Africa T20 Match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, will be sold on June 9 and June 10, OCA President Mohanty said.
Online tickets will be sold through the Paytm application. Some tickets will be spared for sales through offline mode too at OCA ticket counters. The tickets in the offline mode will be sold on June 9 and 10, said he.
Team India is going to lock horns with the Proteas in the first T20 match of the series at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on June 12. The visitors South Africa is scheduled to play a 5-match T20 series in India from June 9 to 19.
