In Conversation with Author Simran Nyamgoud

Interview with the Author of S.U.N

Simran has authored the beautiful book S.U.N and is in love with sound of the rain and coffee before sunrise. She has hobbies like reading , writing ,travelling , kickboxing etc. Let us know more about her in this interview.

Q1) How did you understand your calling as an author ? What was your first writing experience ?

Ans : my calling as a author was my grandfather, who used to write novels in Marathi himself, although i never met him, my grandmother read me a few of his story’s when i was young, my first writing experience was filled with mixed emotions, i origanaly never intented to show work to anyone i used to write in a small brown book during my school lunch breaks
Q2) How did you decide the plot for “S.U.N ”. Give us a short brief about the book .

Ans : S.U.N is a book consisting of my collection poems, divided in three chapters, “love through my eyes” , “towards the sun” and darker side, the book touches topics like love, self harm and growth, it is a book for cozy evenings or to spend some time alone with our emotions.
Q3) Nowadays a majority of the youth is much more focused on social media rather than reading books. What is your view on this topic ?
Ans : It is kind of sad that love for reading is fading away but our need for storys hasnt , before storys , poetry and information was passed on orally , it then took on the form of ink and paper , now it has taken on a digital form , the idea is the same , not everthing online is in a positive light but esanially is there for a similar purpose for social media too, the addiction to social media was once known as reading mania , it is interesting to see how people view different phrases as such.

Q5) We know that there is a lot of hard work that goes behind the launching of books .From preparing the final manuscript to writing the first draft till publishing. Tell us how your experience was and to whom would you dedicate your success in this entire process?

Ans: My publishing experience was not the best, and I do not recommend the company I worked with. I would dedicate my success in this book to the people that inspired me to write poems.
