Q1) Tell us about the starting of your author’s journey .

Ans : I was never an avid reader and the fact that I have written so many books came as a surprise to those who knew me closely. My first book was nothing but my journal that I had written over many years. My dear friend, Chetan Singh (may god bless his soul), who himself was a published author was amazed when I shared that my journal spanned over 200,000 words. He was highly impressed with the material and suggested that I publish it. I didn’t take him seriously initially but when he persisted I started working on the first draft and a part of my journal became Version One and a Half (Version 1 ½), my first book.  Even with 9 books to my name, I still don’t consider myself an author simply because I don’t read many books; I consider myself more of a storyteller than an author. My books might not be great literary works, but I am sure that they do narrate captivating stories. My aim is to continue writing stories forever.

Q2) “ The Hunter Genesis – Whatever it is, wherever it is, he will find it”   is written by you . How did you decide the plot of the book and what was your inspiration behind. Also attach the link of the book

Ans : The Hunter Genesis is a product of my fetish for the action/adventure genre. Since childhood I have been fascinated with action and adventure movies and stories, partly because I had  grown up listening to stories of bravery and adventure related to Sikh religion from my parents and grandparents. My first attempt at creating an action character was well received. Double One Zero (110) – Out of the Shadows was my homage to spy movies and with ‘The Hunter Genesis – Book 1’, I am taking it to the next level by a creating a series. It is every authors dream to  create a series and with book 1 and the next part I have already completed two books in the Hunter series. Book 2 is in the final stages and is titled, ‘The Hunter Genesis – Revelations’. With an Indian treasure hunter as the protagonist, and Indian mythology as the backdrop, the Hunter series has a mass appeal with something for readers of all ages. I have amalgamated Indian mythology, real historical characters and places with fictionalised characters and story to create a potent mix of never ending excitement.

Q3) “The Essence of Ganga – The Story of Mandakini, Shahenshah – The Story of Shrenik Shah, the Cancer Conquerer”   is written by you . How did you decide the plot of the book and what was your inspiration behind. Also attach the link of the book

Ans : Both books are non-fiction real life stories of two of the most amazing individuals I have ever met.

Shahenshah – The story of Shrenik Shah, the cancer conqueror, was my homage to Shrenik Shah, the voiceless motivational speaker. It might sound confusing that how can someone how is voiceless be a motivational speaker? Shrenik Shah lost his voice to cancer in 1997 and since then he has used an electrolarynx device to communicate. While he still uses his muscles in his neck to speak, just like a normal human being, but because of lack of voice box, which had to be taken out during cancer surgery, he is unable to produce audible sounds. This is where the electrolarynx helps him communicate with the world.  He has motivated countless people across the world, and I was really moved by his story. For his selfless service in the field of cancer care he has received numerous accolades. The Essence of Ganga – The Story of Mandakini, is the story of a healthcare professional from India, Mandakini Pawar. Mandakini’s story is truly inspirational and writing her story gave me a chance to better understand spirituality. I have narrated her extraordinary life and career and how spirituality guided her throughout the journey. Q4) From writing the initial draft to working on the final draft surely requires a lot of efforts. What was the most challenging process in your writing career ?

Ans : My biggest struggle as an author is managing a fulltime job and writing at the same time. Writing is always a part time activity for most authors, initially. The fulltime job pays for the rent and food, while writing feeds my soul. Both must go hand in hand, but sometimes the time constraints of a fulltime job can take the joy out of writing. I hope that someday writing becomes my fulltime job.

Q5) Is there any message you want to give to the readers?

Ans: Todays readers must experiment and read books by new and lesser known authors as well. Some of the greatest stories die in obscurity because readers are not aware of the existence of the book. Self-published authors rely a lot on word of mouth because their marketing budgets are limited, and they can’t compete with traditionally published authors. So, when you come across a good book, then spread the word around by writing and sharing a review. If you are an avid reader then you must also read books that are not the best sellers. Self-publishing has given us many great writers, JK Rawling being one of the most prominent self-published author who has left her mark. Manson sold more than 250,000 copies of his self-published book, Models: Attract Women Through Honesty before becoming a household name with his book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. My message to the readers is, support indie and self-published authors.
