Vanshika is a working professional who likes to believe that she is a creative head. When she is not working she loves to write, create unique things and also cook. Let us know more about her in this interview.
Q1) How did you understand your calling as an author? What was your first writing experience?

Ans: I have always been called a creative head. I was always told, that I had an eye for details, patterns, and colors. This led me to the path of exploration of different types of craft works. I believe that art is one of the most beautiful ways of human expression.
Alongside my artwork, I found myself inclining towards reading (all genres). One fine day I found myself with a notebook and a pen, in the quietest corner of my home, writing whatever I felt after reading a book that I randomly picked the other day, and to my utter surprise I gave it a poetic structure. Out of curiosity, I showed the piece to my friends & sister, and to my utter surprise, they thought it had something.
That inspired me to write to express my feelings. Since then, I haven’t stopped writing. In complete honesty, I am not an impromptu writer. I write to express what I feel and what I have been through. Each and every poem comes from the core of my heart and it gives me immense pleasure to see that just through my words I can make people feel how I felt inside.
Q2) How did you decide on the plot for “Made with Love p.s. what is it actually”? Give us a short brief about the book.
Ans: Over time as I continued writing, I felt like compiling my poems into something meaningful that a reader can relate to. The more I thought about it, the urge to put forward a story of the turmoil of a relationship stretching its time from a fairytale to a nightmare grew stronger.
So, this collection of poems that I compiled narrates the journey of two individuals stretching from being best friends to loves to strangers from a girl’s perspective.
Q3) Nowadays a majority of the youth is much more focused on social media rather than reading books. What is your view on this topic?
Ans: This reminds me of something that my mother tells us a lot, that there are always two sides to a coin. The world is not as simple as people want to perceive it, it’s always a yin and yang. It’s actually both dependent on how we want to perceive the influence of the internet or social media on life. For example, even my book is available on the internet for people to read. There are so many wonderful books, articles, and items that are available over the internet and are talked about on social media and I still believe people should have a choice to consume knowledge as they, please. Be it a book, or an audiobook.
In this era of technological advancement, it is also important to switch to things available on the internet. I don’t think comparing social media and books is fair, both have their share of pros and cons.
Q4) Kindly attach the link to your book so that the readers can get a grasp on this beautiful read.

Q5) We know that there is a lot of hard work that goes behind the launching of books. From preparing the final manuscript to writing the first draft till publishing. Tell us how your experience was and to whom would you dedicate your success in this entire process.
Ans: Well, the entire process was very overwhelming, in a good way of course. With the completion of each step, my heart was filled with thousands of emotions, which I don’t think I’ll ever be able to completely express. It’s not just a book, it is a bundle of feelings, my hard and each n every blessing.
I dedicate my success to my family and friends that supported me and made sure I kept going. But most importantly, to my sister. She has always been there for me, like a friend and a mentor. In the end, all those who came into my life in one way or the other and gave me important life lessons.
