Food blogging has indeed become the new trend in the world of social media. Bangalore based IT employee Muqeet Sultan Khan and his Dubai based sister Fiza khan are both food bloggers. Their mutual love for food was the reason why they started off with a page. They both love to explore new cuisines and by far their favorite is Pan Asian cuisine. Being in two different locations has given them more exposure with different cuisines. Interview Times had a conversation with them, below are the excerpts,

Q 1 – What inspired you both to start food blogging?
ANSWER: Honestly, we would usually go out and find new places, and never thought about blogging. But eventually, we wanted to meet new and like-minded people, the ones who love food. This would help us to understand the food industry in a better way and the best way to get connected to people is via food blogging. That’s how our journey began.
Q 2- What is your way of food blogging? Do you follow any specific style?
ANSWER: We do not have any specific style when it comes to the food we present on our Instagram page. We show what we have tasted or experimented, and obviously the things which we have liked is shown on our page.
Q 3- Would you like to share some of your best experience of food blogging?
ANSWER: For us, the best experience while blogging was, when we had a review at one of the restaurants and two teenagers came up to us and told us they follow us on Instagram and zomato and have tried the places we have been to and our reviews have helped them explore places. That made our day and gave us more confidence to move further.

Q 4- What challenges did you face during your initial days of food blogging and how did you overcome them?
ANSWER: Coming to challenges, it would be the same as most of them would face during their initial days, how to reach to the audience. After quite some time we understood how things work and became comfortable with the whole process and do’s and don’ts of blogging.
Q5 – What will be your message to our readers who wants to become food bloggers like you?
ANSWER: Be authentic and be yourself. Post about what you love and produce the best content you possibly can, and always remember, patience is the key here. Always focus on your content and quality.

Q 6- What methodology do you use to promote your food blogs?
ANSWER: Since we focus more on Instagram for blogging, we post according to the Instagram algorithm. We checked our insights and post what time our audience is more active and yes, tags and hash tags play an important role.
Q7- What are your future goals regards food blogging?
ANSWER: Our future goals are to have a proper niche in the food industry which would evolve us into food critics. Also, moving forward and having our own YouTube channel which would primarily focus on the best of the best places to visit. And finally, having our own café in our hometown Bengaluru which would be specific to different types of coffee.
Q 8 – How did you both manage to source your content ideas?
ANSWER: There would be a point wherein everyone would have some issues while posting their content because at times we would run out of ideas! During this time, the best way to overcome is to learn from the people in your industry! What we have noticed that our peers in the food industry are really helpful and would give the perfect advice, if and when required. Apart from this our audience is always there! Whenever we post interactive stories on Instagram we get an insight as to what people are expecting and that’s how we source our content as well.
