In December of 23, Odisha achieved the second-highest state GST collection ever, with a mop up of Rs 2578.05 Cr

According to an official press release, Odisha has collected the second-highest amount of State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) ever in December 2023, totaling Rs 2578.05 Cr, compared to a collection of Rs 1515.88 Cr in December 2022. This represents a remarkable growth rate of 70.07 percent. State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) has been gradually collected up to December 23 for a total of Rs 17419.61 Cr, up from Rs 13235.52 Cr to December 22 for a growth rate of 31.61%.

In contrast to the collection of Rs 2510.86 Cr in December 22 with a growth rate of 45.98%, the collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST/IGST Settlement / VAT / Entry Tax and Profession Tax, during December 23 is Rs 3665.23 Cr. Up to December 23, the cumulative collection under all Acts is Rs 26089.84 Cr, representing a 21.68% increase over the corresponding collection up to December 22.

The State reported collecting Rs 4351.42 Cr in December 23 compared to Rs 3854.29 Cr in December 22, representing a growth rate of 12.90% in terms of Gross GST collection (CGST+ IGST+ SGST+ Cess). Up 10.08% from the same period in FY 2022–2023 to December 23, 2023–24 will see progressive Gross GST collection of Rs 39539.67 Cr.

In comparison to December 2023, 22.49 lakh waybills were generated. 19.66 lakh waybills were generated in December 2022, a 14.39% increase that demonstrated the health of the economy. 9.07 lakh inter-state waybills and 13.41 lakh intra-state waybills made up the 22.49 lakh e-waybills generated on December 23.
