The IPL Mega Auction is just around the corner. The marquee T20 league tournament of the world will have 10 teams from this time around, thereby a mega auction had to take place. As per the reports, this might be the last time that IPL will ever see a mega auction, if not further teams are added in the future.
Over 1200 players gave their names to the list of mega auctions which will be held on Februrary 12th and 13th on Bengaluru. However, today after final discussions with respective team franchises and BCCI, a total of 590 players have been taken into the final list of auction pool.
It will get underway with the marquee set comprising ten players including Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Pat Cummins, Quinton de Kock, Shikhar Dhawan, Faf du Plessis, Shreyas Iyer, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Shami and David Warner.
INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price and as many as 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this bracket.There are 20 players in the auction list with a reserve price of INR 1.5 crore while 34 players are in the list of cricketers with a reserve price of INR 1 crore.
