Koraput Coffee Bags Two Fine Cup Awards At ‘Flavour Of India 2024’

Koraput Coffee’s two Fine Cup victories and fourth-place finish in the coveted Flavor of India – The Final Cup Award 2024 have significantly boosted Odisha’s coffee industry. The India International Coffee Festival 2025, which took place in Bangalore on April 26 and 27, was where the prizes were revealed. The award is part of the Coffee Board of India’s nationwide KYK (Know Your Kappi) Drive 2024, which aims to find and promote the best coffees in the nation. The Arabica Washed and Arabica Natural varietals from Koraput Coffee were both recognized with Fine Cup honors, demonstrating its exceptional quality, flavor, and fragrance.

Koraput is now one of India’s top four coffee-producing areas, marking the first time Odisha coffee has won dual distinction at a national competition of this magnitude. The Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation of Odisha Ltd. (TDCCOL), which manages the entire process from gathering ripe coffee cherries from tribal farmers’ doorsteps to handling post-harvest processing and sale, is responsible for this success. For indigenous farmers, many of whom are first-generation coffee traders, the approach offers fair compensation in addition to quality monitoring.

During the event, TDCCOL was also given a Certificate of Appreciation for its contribution to the national promotion of Odisha’s tribally farmed coffee. In the Indian coffee business, the Fine Cup award is regarded as one of the highest honors, honoring not only the coffee’s flavor but also its provenance and integrity. With this accomplishment, Koraput Coffee maintains its position as one of India’s up-and-coming specialty coffees, offering social impact in addition to quality.
