Kuwait To Deport Expats Who Protested Over Remarks Against Prophet Muhammad

The Kuwait government is set to take strict action against ex-pats from Fahaheel who organized and took part in a demonstration after Friday prayers in support of Prophet Muhammad.

According to the reports, instructions have been issued to arrest and deport Asian Muslim ex-pats, including Indians, who protested against now-expelled BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma’s objectionable comments against the Prophet.

The ex-pats, who had gathered at the Fahaheel area in Kuwait City, violated the laws and regulations of the country which prohibit sit-ins or demonstrations by ex-pats in Kuwait. A video of the demonstration, shared on social media, showed the protestors holding placards chanting slogans against Nupur. The ex-pats who were part of the demonstration will never be allowed to enter the country.
