“Mukesh Ambani to Construct World’s Largest AI-Driven Data Centre in Jamnagar”

Reliance Industries, under the leadership of Mukesh Ambani, is set to construct the world’s largest AI-powered data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, according to Bloomberg. This ambitious project aims to significantly boost India’s AI potential and enhance the country’s digital infrastructure, positioning India as a more competitive player in the global AI race.

As part of this strategic push, Reliance is investing in cutting-edge AI technologies, including acquiring the world’s most advanced semiconductors from NVIDIA, a leading AI tech developer. In October 2024, at the NVIDIA AI Summit, it was announced that Reliance and NVIDIA had partnered to establish AI infrastructure in India. NVIDIA will supply its state-of-the-art Blackwell AI processors for the one-gigawatt data centre.

Mukesh Ambani emphasized India’s vast potential to lead in AI and digital technologies, stating, “Apart from the US and China, India has the best digital connectivity infrastructure.” This collaboration marks a significant milestone in India’s AI evolution.
