Rozlyn Khan, a survivor of stage 4 cancer, has accused actress Hina Khan of spreading misinformation about her cancer journey and using it for publicity. In a recent interview with News18, Rozlyn questioned the details Hina shared about her treatment, particularly her claim of undergoing a 15-hour mastectomy.
Rozlyn, who underwent an extensive surgery herself, with 16 lymph nodes removed, stated that her surgery lasted between 8 to 10 hours, given the severity of her condition. She criticized Hina for not providing specifics about her procedure, questioning whether it was a Modified Radical Mastectomy (MRM) and expressing doubts about the accuracy of Hina’s claims. “A 15-hour mastectomy is impossible,” Rozlyn remarked, adding, “She didn’t mention the specifics of her surgery or explain what exactly she was referring to.”
This marks the latest in a growing tension surrounding Hina Khan’s public discussions about her cancer treatment.
Rozlyn Khan, a stage 4 cancer survivor, has raised concerns about Hina Khan’s public statements regarding her cancer treatment. In a recent interview, Rozlyn questioned Hina’s travel plans during her treatment, pointing out that cancer patients are generally advised to avoid crowds while undergoing chemotherapy. She warned, “Patients could get into serious trouble if they follow her example.”
Rozlyn also accused Hina of using her cancer battle for publicity, stating that instead of sharing details about her actual treatment, Hina focuses on portraying herself as brave and sharing personal stories. “She talks more about herself than about the treatment she’s receiving. She keeps everything vague. I even doubt if she’s truly at stage 3,” Rozlyn said. She further criticized Hina for avoiding specific details in her interviews, calling it misleading. “Every interview is centered on her bravery, but no one is addressing the misinformation she’s spreading.”
Rozlyn also highlighted the lack of legal consequences for spreading misinformation about medical procedures in India, suggesting that people are exploiting the situation.
Hina Khan, who revealed her battle with cancer in 2024, has been openly sharing updates about her health journey on social media, sparking both support and controversy.
