National guidelines for corona to remain in force in the country till June 30: Union Home Ministry

The outbreak of the second wave of corona has decreased in the country. So some states are planning to crack down on covid cuts to start financial movements. However, the Union Home Ministry issued a circular on Thursday. Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of the states. It said the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Health on April 25 would be effective until June 30, 2021.

In the letter, the Union Home Secretary gave states the right to set boundaries for the contentment zone. The Home Secretary has suggested that the cuts be implemented in phases.

“Although the number of infections in the country has been declining in recent days, the number of active cases in the country is still high,” he said. “Similarly, in states where the positive rate is still more than 10 per cent and hospitals are over 40 per cent full, the state government and the local administration should declare sensitive areas,” he said.

The ministry has recommended that steps be taken to address the risk of infection in areas where the rate of infection is on the rise. The Union Home Ministry has expressed concern that infections are on the rise in the northeastern states. Therefore, in states where the rate of COVID-19 is high, the states should either form their own team or call the central government team and take action.

The guidelines issued by the central government are as effective this month as last month, which will remain in force until the end of next month, the ministry said. This has not changed. Therefore, the states have the exclusive right to change the lockdown, shutdown, curfew imposed by the states. The Home Secretary, however, indicated that the concerned state governments would decide for themselves whether to impose lockdown or not.
