On September 16, the city’s recently constructed Netaji Bus Terminal will be made available to the general public. Subash Chandra Singh, the mayor of Cuttack, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik would dedicate the bus station to the general population. Additionally, he noted, starting on September 13 there will be a test run at the bus station. The Odisha government spent Rs 70 crore to build the new bus terminal, which sprawls over 15 acres of land in Khannagar, Cuttack.
On January 23, 2021—Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 125th birthday—Patnaik lay the groundwork for the Bus Terminal. In order to ensure smooth passenger movement, the newly built Netaji Bus Terminal is furnished with all contemporary amenities, such as bus bays and allocated parking spaces. According to a recent declaration by the State Government, the first cutting-edge Aahaar Center with space for around 1000 people at once would rise near Netaji Bus Terminal.
