Naba Kishore Das, a minister and leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), is said to have given a gold kalas valued more than Rs 1 crore to a Maharashtrian temple. According to reports, Das, who is in charge of the health and family welfare portfolio, gave the Shani Shingnapur temple in Maharashtra, one of the most well-known Shani shrines in the nation, two kalas made of 5 kg of silver and 1.7 kg of gold. On Saturday, the BJD Minister went to the temple and conducted a “Shani Abhishek.” He and his family were shown in a video performing the “Shani Abhishek.”The Minister’s response, however, could not be ascertained in this regard.
It should be noted that, according to the statement of movable and immovable assets of the Council of Ministers released by the State government in September last year, Naba Kishore Das, who represents the Jharsuguda constituency, was the richest minister in Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Cabinet, with properties worth Rs 32 crore.
Das had admitted in the statement that his wife had 75 vehicles registered in her name. All of the automobiles were commercial models with a 15 crore rupee worth. Aside from this, the minister also owns a Mercedes Benz with a market worth of about Rs. 1.14 crore.
The Minister has more over Rs 45,12,00,000 in deposits in several banks in Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar, and Jharsuguda. Additionally, he has around Rs 77.43 lakh invested in fixed deposits. Additionally, his wife has fixed deposits totaling more than 2.24 crore rupees and deposits totaling more than 1.13 crore rupees in several banks.
