The deadly variant of COVID 19, the Omicron Variant is slowly yet steadily increasing its infection rate in India. However, the worst affected state is Maharastra, with 17 active cases of Omicron detected in the state. To curb the speed of the spread, Section 144 has been imposed in Mumbai for today and tomorrow.

To curb the further spread, rallies, morchas, or processions of people or vehicles have been prohibited in Mumbai. Actions will be taken if the order is violated.

At present, India’s Omicron tally stands at 32 as per the latest reports. In Maharashtra, 17 cases have been reported, nine cases in Rajasthan, while Gujarat, Karnataka, and Delhi have reported three, two, and one case, respectively.
