The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) has added four more buses to its fleet in order to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims traveling to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, for the Maha Kumbh Mela. To handle the influx of pilgrims making the journey from Odisha to Prayagraj for the holy festival, more buses have been provided. These buses will run from several sites around the state, providing devotees with greater accessibility, according to OSRTC officials. Because buses are more affordable and provide a more pleasant ride than trains and airplanes, officials have observed an increase in demand for bus travel. The new buses will have the same excellent features as the current fleet, such as seater and sleeper configurations, lots of legroom, and upscale extras like mobile charging stations for passenger convenience.
At a ceremony held on Sunday at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi essentially launched the OSRTC bus services to Prayagraj from Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur. More than 200 Odisha residents have already set off on their trek to the Maha Kumbh Mela, it was noted at the event. To encourage female pilgrims, OSRTC has announced a 50% female ticket fee reduction. The buses are made to be as comfortable as possible for passengers, so getting to Prayagraj is a hassle-free experience. By providing accessible and reasonably priced transportation for religious and cultural events, the OSRTC project demonstrates its dedication to facilitating devotees’ participation in important events such as the Maha Kumbh Mela.
