Partial Lockdown To continue Till August 1 With Some Relaxation In Odisha

The partial lockdown in Odisha will continue for the next two weeks till 6 am on August 1 as informed by Chief Secretary Suresh Mahapatra.

According to the official reports, there will be some relaxations in the lockdown conditions and the new guidelines will come into effect from 6 am on July 16.

Suresh Mahapatra informed that shops in 20 Category A districts will remain open from 7 am to 8 pm, in Category B districts (coastal districts) the shops will open from 7 am to 5 pm.  As per the existing lockdown norms, shops in Category B districts were allowed to operate between 6 am and 2 pm.

But the weekend shutdowns, which will come into effect from 5 pm on Fridays, will continue till 6 am on Monday in Category B districts. He further added that bus services will resume across the State. However, no bus services will be allowed to Puri till July 25 in view of Ratha Jatra. In the other districts, buses will be ply with seating capacity while no standing passenger will be allowed.
