You may have heard numerous political stories driven by choices or chances but here is a politician who has been craving a niche amongst the ordinary citizens by dint of his sheer engagement and dedication to stand with them since his young age. It was no less than a story of grit and Valor of a young spirited boy from a saviour to become a popular politician. The first time MLA of Lanjigarh of Kalahandi District Mr. Pradip Kumar Dushari. Have you wanted to be a politician or it was a instinct ?
I think it’s a billion dollar question but I think to me it was a God’s calling to serve the marginalized people of Bhawanipatna ( Lanjigarh)area dominated by Naxalites & several problems of water & sanitation and employability to qualify education etc.It struck me the most to gel with people’s misery to stand them to upscale their living standard & opportunities for better life.
Q2.You are the first MLA of Lanjigarh ,how has been your journey so far?
It’s was nevertheless like a roller-coaster ride ,I mean it was really a tough job to reach out to all our villages of our Constituency. But i have dedicated my life to serve their life in aligning with Govt. programme & policies for their transformational of life, be it Kalia Yoyona, drinking water projects, Indrabatti kolab projects for better irrigation & water supply, beautification of Manikeswari Mandir etc. There have been serious changes that have taken place in my constituency with the able leadership of our popular Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Q3) You have always told in different forums that Naveen Patnaik as a politician is a God gifted to the State of Odisha who believes in work than words, what does it mean to you ?
Really, it means a lot because our chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is the head of 4 crores of Odia people that really makes huge sense to each one of his generosity and love affirmation to the State. To me ,he is the only Chief Minister in India who does what he promises to the peoples interests. In the history of Lanjigarh there is no such Chief Minister like Naveen Patnaik who has allocated huge funds in crores to take off different projects from road & buildings to drinking water projects to irrigations etc. My constituency Lanjigarh is really blessed of his unconditional support to make it a developing constituency. I am really privileged and humble to work under his stewardship.
Q4.What is one your most satisfying contributions to Lanjigarh in your tenure of service to your constituency?
As you know my constituency is linked with Naxalites therefore it is always a challenge to bring them to mainstream of the State progress. I have tried to reach out all sections of people of my constituency to restore their faith on Govt. by doing a lot of developmental works in all sectors. Despite all hurdles, I make sure all Govt. beneficiaries schemes go the last miles of the community.
Q5.Major Mining Companies are also established in Lanjigarh from Vadanta to Birla group,so how do you pursue them to engage in peripheral developments and employment opportunities?
I have always suggested them to be associated with my constituency growth & development, we have also expedited the DMF fund for health infrastructure and education development. We have also employed few deserving candidates in their respective professional careers. It’s a long term association with the Industry bodies to bring sustainable CSR models to execute in the peoples interests.
