Amid the prevailing Covid-19 Pandemic, the celebrated Balada yatra or Bullock festival of Bhuban, which is a grand affair here and celebrated over centuries saw a low-key celebration likewise the previous year due to the Covid-19 protocols. 
Every year the celebrations are huge and grand which garners the attention of thousands of visitors each year but since last year the celebrations are limited due to the pandemic. Every year on the day of Vijay Dashami the bullocks are decorated and walked across the streets of Bhuban in a procession.
Abinash Mohapatra, a local said, ” since last year due to the covid-19 pandemic the famous Bullock festival or the Balada Yatra of Bhuban is missing its festivity fervour, this year only two bullocks are taking part in the festival.”
Every year more than 50-60 bullocks takes part in this festival but this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic only two bullocks took part in the festival this year.
