The production of the COVID-19 vaccine will start within two weeks in Russia. Mikhail Murashko, the health Minister of Russia, informed by stating that the World’s deadly virus’s vaccine is in the production stage and will soon begin within two weeks.

Firstly, the production facilities will be determined towards the domestic market and meet the needs of our citizens. After the production, Russia will offer the vaccine to other countries when it has an adequate amount.

Murashko also said that now the foreign nation’s doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccine are unfounded. The platform where the vaccine was invented has been thoroughly studied, and its authors have gathered a sufficient amount of scientific data to guarantee its safety.

President Vladimir Putin announced the World’s first registered vaccine against the novel Coronavirus by an online meeting with the Government.

The vaccine has been named ‘Sputnik V,’ which was developed by the Gamaleya National Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology, alongside the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

According to Alexander Gintsburg, director of the Gamaleya National Research Centre, after the production, Russia plans to produce at least 5 million doses of the vaccine a month from December through January.

Even the center is also arranging documents to obtain permission to test the vaccine on children. As per the information, the vaccine for children will be the same as adults but will be inflicted in a different dosage requiring supplementary testing.

Till now, atleast 20 countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, and India, had shown their interest in acquiring this vaccine.

According to the official sources, the launching of phase 3 trials for any vaccine requires relevant regulatory approvals by the Drug Controller General of India.

Even Russia has requested Bharat Biotech, a Hyderabad-based vaccine manufacturer, to produce its vaccine in large quantities, but the firm has not responded yet.
