Team India has won the one-day series in England after 8 years. Moreover, this is the first instance where the Indian team has won both the ODI and the T20 series against England in England. India first won the T20 series by 2-1 and yesterday won the ODI series by 2-1 as well.
After putting England to bat, Team India bowled out the opposition with 259. Hardik Pandya was the star with the ball with 4 wickets and season spinner Yuzevendra Chahal took 3 wickets as well. In return, team India again lost their top order early and was in a spot of bother with 72 for 4.
However, it was the mammoth partnership between Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant that led the game for India. While Hardik Pandya made 71, Rishabh Pant made an unbeaten 125 to win the match by 5 wickets with over 8 overs to spare.
Rishabh Pant was declared the man of the match and Hardik Pandya was the man of the series. Team India will now to West Indes to play 3 ODI’s and 5 T20.
