There might be a respite for the people of Odisha from the intense heat waves for the next 2 to 3 days. As per the reports of IMD, there will be thunderstorms for the next 2 to 3 days with windfall ranging from 40 to 50 kilometres per hour. There will be rainfall in regions of Balasore, Bhdarak and Jajpur.
These districts are also likely to experience lightning and light to moderate rain.
“Under its impact, there can be minor damage to loose/unsecured structures, banana trees and standing crops,” the IMD said, advising people to move to safer places.
The MeT office has also forecasted light to moderate rain/thunderstorm/lightning in some parts of Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Koraput till 7 pm.
