Joe Biden has become the 46th president of the United States, the most powerful country in the world. Biden became the new U.S. president after defeating Republican Party leader Donald Trump in the recent election. With him, Kamala Harris became the first woman in U.S. history to be elected as vice president. Not only that, Joe Biden has included 20 Indians in his Transition Team, and 3 others in his important review team. Twenty Indians from the team played important roles in the U.S. election and were very much beneficial in Biden’s victory.
As with every election in the United States, a new review team is formed. The new team will begin its term after the new president is sworn in on January 20. Biden’s team includes 20 Indians, including Atman Trivedi, Anish Chopra, Arun Venkataraman, Kiran Ahuja, Raj Nayak and Shital Shah. Joe Biden aims to make the United States grow faster.
Rahul Gupta, who joined Biden’s team, has been selected as the Drug Control Police Chief. Similarly, Raj Dey has been given important department like the Department of Justice and Seema Nanda has been given important department like the Department of Labor. Indians living in the United States often support and vote for the Democratic Party. Twenty-four Indians donated arond Rs 17 crore to the campaign of Biden and Kamala Harris in the recent election.
