In Mohammed Shami’s village, the Uttar Pradesh state government has chosen to build a cricket stadium complete with training facilities and a top-notch gymnasium. The Amroha district administration made their decision in response to Shami’s outstanding 2023 men’s ODI World Cup performance.District Magistrate Rajesh Tyagi (IAS), who is speaking about it, stated, “We have been sending a proposal to construct a mini stadium in the village of Mohammed Shami.” There will also be an open gymnasium under that proposal. In the village of Shami, we have enough land.” He went on to say, “The (Uttar Pradesh) government passed instructions to construct 20 stadiums across the state and district Amroha’s stadium was also selected for it.”
Shami has been playing at the 2023 ICC World Cup in incredible form. In just 6 games, he has already claimed 23 wickets. He claimed seven wickets in the semi-final match against New Zealand, earning him the title of Player of the Match. Devon Conway, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, Rachin Ravindra, Kane Williamson, Tom Latham, and Dale Mitchell were all dropped by him.
His incredible run of winning matches has enabled India to set up a tantalising final at Ahmedabad on Sunday against five-time champions Australia. The state administration is pleased with Shami’s performance, since he leads the World Cup in wicket-taking.The area will create more young cricket players thanks to the new stadium.Because Amroha did not have adequate facilities, Shami moved to Kolkata in 2005 in search of better prospects.
