On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow warning for heavy fog over the next three days in several Odisha districts. There were one or two areas of shallow to moderate fog over the districts of Odisha, and there were one or two areas of dense fog in Angul, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Khurda, and Nayagarh.
In the meantime, there was one or two locations throughout the districts of north coastal and south interior Odisha, as well as widespread light to moderate rainfall in the region’s interior. Hindol (Dhenkanal), Kirmira (Jharsuguda), Tensa (Sundargarh), Lephripara (Sundargarh), Keonjhargarh (Keonjhargarh), Lahunipara (Sundargarh), Banaigarh (Sundargarh), Jhumpura (Keonjhar), Jharsuguda (Jharsuguda), Gurundia (Sundargarh), Rajgangpur (Sundargarh), Tangarpali (Sundargarh), Sharpada (Keonjhar), Kutra (Sundargarh), Ullunda (Sonepur), and Ghatagaon (Keonjhar) were the main locations of rainfall.
There was a noticeable decrease in minimum temperatures in one or two locations in the north interior of Odisha, but there was little to no change in other parts of the state. They were significantly below normal in one or two locations, significantly above normal in a few locations over the interior districts of Odisha, in a few locations within Odisha, above normal in many locations over the coastal districts of Odisha, and at one or two locations over the interior districts of Odisha with normal conditions elsewhere in the state. In the plains of Odisha, Sundargarh recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5°C, while Malkangiri recorded the highest maximum temperature of 32.3°C.
