5T Chairman Pandian Reviews Developmental Works In Mayurbhanj District

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian instructions to visit the Mayurbhanj district today. While there, he reviewed a number of development projects and spoke with residents and students. Next, he examined the Mayurbhanj district’s Subarnarekha Irrigation Project. 2,70,900 acres of agricultural land will be irrigated by the project, which is being carried out at a cost of Rs 10,210 crore. According to the review, the project will be finished in two phases: the first by May 2024 and the second by June 2028.

Pandian examined several irrigation projects during this visit, including the Deo, Sone, Khairi Bandhan, and Cluster Large Lift irrigation projects in Udala. It is possible to irrigate 1,16,500 acres of land for the Rs 3282 crore that are being invested in these projects. He gave the order to expedite these projects. Subsequently, he examined the ongoing construction of the Rs 154 crore Budhabalanga flood protection embankment/ring road in Baripada.

In addition, Pandian reviewed the list of projects and directed that all of them be completed within the allotted time frame. These included the construction of a ghat road, which would cost Rs 72.63 crore, a large bridge over the Budhabalanga River at Baripada, a 650-bed Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, which would cost Rs 306 crore, and a cancer hospital at Baripada, which would cost Rs 47.35 crore.
