Citizens must be the center of governance since they are the primary components of our nation, as stated in our Constitution. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik stated today that the objective of our administration is to advance the welfare of our people in a way that is open, responsible, and responsive. Speaking at a Civil Services Day event, the CM remarked, “I have been emphasizing on ‘Transformative Governance’ which is primarily aimed at bringing about fundamental changes in the system and society by addressing the root causes of issues rather than just treating the symptoms.”
“Civil services in Odisha are becoming more responsive, real-time responsible, and efficient thanks to changes in attitudes and adaptation to new technology. The goals of 5T and Mo Sarkar’s activities are to significantly alter how the public views governance.
Traditionally, public services were organized top-down, but there is rising support for more citizen-centric government, which is replacing this method. Technology advancements, shifting public expectations, and the realization that citizens are the true benefactors of governance are some of the elements driving this transformation, the CM continued.
The necessity for a more citizen-centric and outcome-oriented approach to governance has been emphasized by our administration. Additionally, in order to enhance decision-making and service delivery, the government has been encouraging increased collaboration across various ministries and stakeholders.
Naveen finished by noting that when public employees see that there is a pressing need to change the mindset and culture of the civil services towards being more proactive, innovative, and adaptable, our goal of “transformative governance” will succeed.
