Hindu seer Swami Chakrapani Maharaj urged the government to designate the Moon as a “Hindu Rashtra” a few days after Chandrayaan-3 made a flawless landing on the southern pole of the moon.
The All India Hindu Mahasabha’s national president, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, made the request after Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the area on the Moon where the Chandrayaan-2 crash-landed would be called “Tiranga” and the spot where the Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram made a soft landing would be called “Shiv Shakti.”
Swami Chakrapani Maharaj shared a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which he urged the Indian government to “act swiftly so that no terrorists can reach the Moon.”
In order to prevent terrorists from arriving there with a Jihadi attitude, he stated, “Moon should be declared as Hindu Sanatan Rashtra by Parliament, and Shiv Shakti Point should be developed as its capital at the landing place of Chandrayaan-3.”In the meantime, a disagreement over the name of the Chandrayaan-3 landing location sprang out between the BJP and Congress parties.
S Somanath, the director of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), said on Sunday that there was “no reason for a dispute” over the name. The ISRO chairman stated in a statement to the ANI news agency that “the explanation given by the honourable prime minister about ‘Shiv Shakti’ represents the combination of male and female, highlighting the contributions of women to ISRO and the necessity to foster such synergy within the organisation.”
