Interview Times 
The Chief Electoral Officer and Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department for the Government of Odisha, Shri Nikunja Bihari Dhal, paid a visit to the TPNODL headquarters in Balasore on September 9th, 2023. During his stay, he helped officially open TPNODL’s brand-new Power System Control Centre alongside corporate executives including Mr. Bhaskar Sarkar. He then went to TPNODL’s metre testing facility, where he had several discussions on smart metering, metre accuracy, and measures to prevent metre tampering. Senior level Corporate and field officials from TPNODL and OPTCL were consulted on the various performance parameters, improvement initiatives, and infrastructure development projects, with an emphasis on prioritising and expediting the various network strengthening initiatives under the TPNODL Capex and Government funded projects to significantly increase the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers. He suggested that TPNODL keep planning for prospective load expansion and focusing on network load flow studies by coordinating closely with OPTCL to install connection lines to optimise loading of New Grid and 33kV substations. In addition, he stressed the significance of reducing power theft incidents and enhancing the LT Network infrastructure.
