The Puri district administration has been urged to make sure that visitors to the Simandir receive the most basic facilities by Secretary to the CM (5T) VK Pandian, who has inspected the status of the historic corridor project works.
In order to accommodate the pilgrims and devotees visiting the Srimandir on special events like Rath Yatra, Kartika Brata, and New Year, the 5T Secretary instructed the Puri administration to make basic facilities available.
Additionally, he gave the appropriate officials instructions to make special traffic arrangements for Rath Yatra and New Year’s.
It was revealed during the inspection that the work at the Setu and Jagannath Ballav Parking Center, along with other projects for the corridor, was ongoing in full force.
By the end of this year, the State Government hopes to have finished the challenging Simandir Parikrama Project, also known as the Heritage Corridor Project, designating the pilgrim town of Puri a World Heritage City.
