SLSWCA Clears 19 Projects Worth Over Rs 4804 Cr, To Generate 17,553 Jobs

Today, the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) approved 19 ground-breaking projects totaling INR 4,804.35 crore, with the potential to create 17,553 jobs. This approval enhances the State’s appeal as an investment destination. At the 125th SLSWCA meeting, which took place today, these projects were approved under the direction of Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena.

Apparel and textiles, steel downstream, paint (chemical), plastics, packaging/metal downstream, chemicals, food, beverage & related sectors, steel (ferroalloys), IT infrastructure, agroprocessing, renewable energy/circular economy, and infrastructure are among the important sectors in which there have been large investments.

These varied investments highlight the region’s rich mineral resources, metallurgical know-how, and dedication to IT sector technological advancements in addition to improving Odisha’s manufacturing capabilities. The state’s agricultural potential has been tapped into by the notable advancements in the agro industry. These calculated bets, which are dispersed over ten districts, are part of Odisha’s larger, all-encompassing industrial development plan.

By establishing a textile facility in Kendrapada and investing INR 200.00 crore, Welspun Living Limited hopes to boost regional economic growth by generating 2,000 jobs in the apparel and textile industries.

Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited will set up a 10,00,000 MT Steel Service Center in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur, in the Steel Downstream segment. With an INR 735 crore investment, it promises 335 potential jobs.
