By the end of 2025, the Odisha government hopes to have piped drinking water available to every family in the state’s rural areas. In response to a question from BJP member Mohan Charan Majhi, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Minister Pradip Kumar Amat made this announcement in the Odisha Assembly on Tuesday.
Amat stated that the state’s government’s top priority is to ensure that everyone has access to safe drinking water. According to Amat, as of right now, all residents of 47,274 villages have this ability thanks to solar-powered water supply projects, tube wells, sanitized wells, and piped drinking water projects. Amat continued, “No Adivasi village has been left out.” He stated that efforts are in progress to supply all rural households with piped drinking water.
He continued by saying that 16,659 villages in the state receive piped drinking water.
