When Modh-Ghanchi, the caste of Prime Minister Modi, was included to the OBC, Narhari Amin claimed to have been Gujarat’s deputy chief minister. Rahul Gandhi thanked the BJP for verifying that Narendra Modi was not an OBC, while the BJP denounced the Congress MP and demanded an apology.On Thursday, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Narhari Amin released a statement on social media stating that he served as Gujarat’s deputy chief minister in 1994, the year the Modh-Ghanchi caste was recognised as an OBC during the Congress government’s control.
“By inventing stupid lies about this issue, Rahul Gandhi is demeaning the OBC communities.” Even before he became chief minister, Shri Narendra Modi was not even an MP or MLA, let alone the decision and the GOI notification that followed,” wrote Narhari Amin.Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is now taking place in Odisha. The Congress leader claimed on Thursday that PM Modi has been misleading the nation by saying that he is a member of the backward class. Rahul Gandhi stated that he was born into the general class and not the backward class.
