This afternoon, at the National Health Mission headquarters in Bhubaneswar, a departmental review meeting was conducted by Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahalinga. Numerous high-ranking officials, including NHM MD D Brunda, attended the conference. The National Health Mission’s implementation as well as several other programs, including the Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Janani Surakhya Yojana, Janani Sishu Surakhya Karyakrama, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakrama, and the Sickle Cell Anemia Elimination Mission, were thoroughly reviewed during the meeting.
In his remarks, Minister Mahaling stated that safeguarding the state’s citizens’ health is a major duty. Additionally, he stated that the National Health Mission should build departments of Biomedical Engineering and Instrumentation in medical colleges and that the maximum time that “108” ambulances take to reach patients should be lowered to 15 minutes. Additionally, he gave the order to fill the open positions as soon as possible, using NHM personnel. He requested department representatives use technology and information to streamline and improve the patient experience.
Likewise, the meeting was asked to concentrate on the cleanliness and round-the-clock operation of CHCs. Since yoga is good for your health, health centres should regularly host yoga training camps in all districts and cities. Minister Dr Mahaling also underlined the need for yoga instructors to be appointed permanently.
