“Shivraj Chouhan Takes Charge: Ensures Effective Implementation of PM Modi’s Schemes”

All secretaries of the Government of India have been summoned to participate in a monthly monitoring group meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established this group, chaired by Union Minister of Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare, and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, to oversee the implementation of schemes announced by the Prime Minister, as well as initiatives from the Union Budget, subordinate legislation, and other infrastructure projects. According to reports, the inaugural meeting of the newly formed monitoring group was held in the PMO on October 18, attended by all secretaries, including the Chairman of the Railway Board, in a hybrid format. This monthly gathering at South Block aims to review and advance all government schemes toward successful execution.

Officials present at the meeting reported that PM Modi has entrusted Shivraj Chouhan with the responsibility of overseeing the progress of projects announced since his first NDA government took office in 2014. Additionally, it has been learned that senior officials at the levels of additional secretaries and joint secretaries, who have been serving as nodal officers for various schemes initiated by the Prime Minister, are also required to attend the monitoring group meetings.
