Within three months, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has mandated the identification and destruction of government land that wealthy people have encroached onto. While reviewing the functioning of the Revenue Department at the Dhenkanal Collector Office, the minister gave instructions to the officers.
In order to protect government property, Pujari has directed administrative personnel to remove encroachments and register land that is inhabited by the impoverished and landless in their names. In the Dhenkanal district, Pujari examined the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Vasundhara Yojana, instructing tehsildars to find underutilized land allotted for projects and submit a report. Officials who fail to secure government property will face harsh consequences. The minister’s orders are intended to safeguard the rights of marginalized groups and guarantee appropriate land use.
