During Monday’s eleventh public grievance hearing session at Unit-II in Bhubaneswar, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made a noteworthy act of compassion by allocating Rs 13.5 lakh to 14 individuals to cover their medical expenditures. People with chronic illnesses and those who couldn’t use the state’s one-window grievance procedure were given the cash aid. For the session, which was attended by the Chief Minister and six top ministers, almost 1,000 complainants had registered online. Additional Chief Secretaries and Secretary-level officers oversaw the initiative, guaranteeing seamless operations all along the way.
The Chief Minister instructed concerned departmental ministers and secretaries to act right away after hearing the grievances. After speaking with the Chief Minister face-to-face and receiving assurances about his commitment to resolving their problems, the attendees departed feeling content. Majhi started the session early in the morning by personally meeting those with chronic diseases and people with disabilities who had been waiting outside to talk about their issues, as was traditional for the occasion.
