Nashik BPO Abuse Case: 9 FIRs, 8 Arrests as Nida’s Family Alleges ‘Conversion Racket’ Amid Rising Controversy

The otherwise calm industrial hub of Nashik has been rocked by a serious controversy involving a BPO unit linked to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where allegations of rape, systemic sexual harassment, and organised religious coercion have sparked a large-scale criminal investigation.

So far, Nashik police have registered nine FIRs and arrested eight employees, including seven men and one female operations manager. Authorities have identified 26-year-old Nida Khan as the “absconding mastermind,” accusing her of orchestrating alleged religious conversion activities within the workplace.

However, Nida Khan’s family has strongly refuted these allegations, calling them baseless and claiming she is being targeted unfairly. They have alleged foul play and digital harassment, insisting that the accusations are built on unverified claims.

According to police, the extent of the alleged misconduct came to light following a 40-day undercover operation. Acting on a tip-off received in early February, six female police officers infiltrated the BPO facility posing as employees.

During this covert mission, the officers closely observed workplace activities, including interactions at workstations and internal meetings. Their findings reportedly confirmed initial suspicions, leading to formal action and the subsequent crackdown.
