On suspicion of obtaining excessive assets, Odisha Vigilance detectives began a crackdown on Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) N. Dillip Kumar Choudhury of R&B Division-1, Berhampur. Three Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and seven Inspectors led a team of vigilance authorities who searched four places connected to Choudhury at the same time. Among the places are:
- A 2BHK flat at Spectrum Royale, Dharma Nagar, Berhampur
- A double-storeyed building at Mayuree Vihar, Berhampur
- His office at R&B Division-1, Berhampur
- A 3BHK flat at Evos Exotica Apartment, Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar
Search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur, served as the basis for the searches. The search is still under progress, and further information will be released when it is finished.
