Hindustan Unilever (HUL) on Thursday announced the appointment of Priya Nair as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1. She succeeds Rohit Jawa, who will step down on July 31 after serving the company for over 37 years.
Currently serving as the President of Unilever’s Beauty and Wellbeing division, Nair brings a wealth of experience to the role. She began her journey with HUL in 1995 and has since held various key positions in sales and marketing across home care, personal care, and beauty and wellbeing categories.
The company praised her extensive leadership background and deep understanding of the Indian market as key strengths that will guide HUL’s next phase of growth.
