Fresh Bomb Threats Rattle Delhi: 10 Schools Targeted in 3 Days

Delhi continues to reel under a series of bomb threats, with five schools receiving threatening emails on Wednesday—marking the third consecutive day of such alerts in the national capital. Among the institutions targeted were St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodi Estate, as reported by news agency ANI.

According to PTI, the threat mail to St. Thomas School was received at 5:26 am, followed by one to Vasant Valley School at 6:30 am. Delhi Police, along with bomb disposal units, dog squads, and cyber teams, rushed to the spots and carried out thorough inspections.

“The investigation is underway. Nothing suspicious has been found yet,” officials from the fire department confirmed.

Notably, this is the second threat received by St. Thomas School in two days. The school had reported a similar threat on Tuesday, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.

On July 14, CRPF Public School in Dwarka Sector 16 and the Navy School in Chanakyapuri were also targeted. In another alarming incident, Delhi University’s St. Stephen’s College received a bomb threat via email on Tuesday, claiming that four IEDs and two packets of RDX had been planted on campus.

In total, around 10 schools and one college have received bomb threats in the past three days, triggering panic and large-scale security responses across the city. Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify the source of these threats.
