At the opening of the Boeing Sukanya STEM Lab, Aeromodelling Training Center, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab at Kosal Vidhyalaya in Nuakhaiirpali village of Baragada district on Sunday, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati emphasized the importance of empowering rural girls via scientific education and technological innovation.

Speaking to the assembly, the governor stated that every girl student should be given the chance to reach her full potential and that ability should never be constrained by circumstances. He expressed optimism that the recently opened facilities would encourage students’ curiosity, creativity, and research while assisting them in realizing their goals in science and technology.

While the Aeromodelling Training Center will acquaint students with flying, aircraft design, and engineering, the STEM Lab will encourage practical learning in science and math. They will learn about cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence in the AI Lab. According to the governor, the facilities would provide students with new prospects in disciplines like robotics, artificial intelligence, and aviation.

Kambhampati emphasized the necessity of expanding contemporary, science-based education outside of urban areas, stating that such programs will contribute in closing the talent and opportunity gap, especially in western Odisha. He encouraged pupils, particularly ladies, to have ambitious dreams, hone their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and make efficient use of the resources at their disposal.

The late Gammani Ananda Rao, the school’s founder and chairman, was also honored by the governor. He called Ananda Rao’s rise from a farming family to a prosperous businessman and his contributions to the advancement of society inspirational. Kambhampati valued the school’s initiatives to assure students’ overall development, foster academic success, support sports, and increase access to education in remote areas. Baragada MLA Ashwini Kumar Sarangi, Attabira MLA Nihar Ranjan Mahanand, Bhatli MLA Irasis Acharya, Boeing India CSR Head Praveena Yagnambhat, and school principal Ravi Narayan Behera were among the attendees.
