The virtual meeting of the quad, consisting of India, the United States, Australia and Japan, was held on Friday. It was attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga. They said the Indo-Pacific region will determine the future of the 21st century.
Addressing the summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the current “quad” time a pillar of stability in the Indo-Pacific region. India’s ancient theory of “Basudhaiva Kutumbakam” is what the world considers a family, the Prime Minister said. “We will work together as before for the sustainability of the Indo-Pacific region,” he said.
Similarly, US President Joe Biden emphasized the United States’ commitment to the stability of the region. The Indo-Pacific region is becoming more important for cooperation. He said the United States was committed to working with all its allies for the stability of the region. He said the group was important because it was dedicated to practical solutions and smooth results.
Similarly, the Prime Minister of Australia, Scott Morrison, described the importance of the quadruple and said that the future of the world would determine the future of the Indo-Pacific region in the 21st century. Therefore, we will build our cooperation on the six great democracies of this region as a symbol of peace, stability and prosperity. This meeting of the Quad leaders is first and foremost. Quad member states have long advocated for a rule of law in the Indian Pacific.
Strategically and militarily, the formation of the Indian-led quadrant is just one example of India’s growing relationship with the United States, Australia and Japan, which will play an important role in maintaining balance in the entire region. Countries seem to be indebted to China, especially for supply chains.
