The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has issued new guidelines on COVID-16. It said there was no need for a Covid 19 test during interstate travel. Covid 19 testing has been accelerated in the country. Crowds of people flocking to the test for interstate travel are putting pressure on laboratories. The ICMR issued the guidelines on Tuesday to reduce the pressure on laboratories.
Similarly, the ICMR has called for the lifting of sanctions imposed by various states. Many states in the country have now imposed such restrictions. So people are flocking to various places to add Covid negative reports to get home. There is now a rapid rise in the rate of covid infection across the country. It also puts pressure on testing labs.
Across the country, the positive rate is now 20 percent, according to the ICMR. So testing, tracking, research and isolation of positive people is said to be possible to prevent infection. Similarly, once a person who has been positively tested in an RTPCR test does not need to be tested repeatedly, the ICMR also said.
Similarly, patients recovering and discharging from the hospital also do not need another Covid 19 testing. ICMR also advised people not to travel unnecessarily and not to travel if they have Covid 19 symptoms.
