Indian scientists develop technique to detect corona variants through paper!

Indian scientists have so far had the greatest success in genomic sequencing science. For the first time in the world, scientists have developed a technique to detect corona variants in just one hour through paper. Whose name is Feluda (RAY).

Last year, a test kit called Feluda was developed, which is now used in many states. From January to May this year, scientists from the IGB Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi developed Rapid Variant Detection ACE.

Generally, the genome of a sample takes a long time and value according to the sequence. This also requires a high-end lab, which is very scarce in India. Currently, 10 labs are running sequencing. 17 other labs just started. There is no sequencing facility at the district level. It is estimated that more than 37 crore samples have been tested in the country so far.

Of these, only 30,000 have been sampled. This is the case when many serious variants, including Delta, have appeared in the country since the second wave.
