PM Modi said, ‘Sangam’ has a special meaning in Indian history and civilization. It means the confluence of rivers/people/ideas or coming together.” He said, “Vladivostok in my view is the ‘confluence’ of Eurasia and the Pacific. I appreciate President Putin’s vision for the development of the Russian Far East. India will be a reliable partner of Russia in realizing this vision.

It is worth noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin organizes the Eastern Economic Forum every year. The Eastern Economic Forum started yesterday i.e. on September 2nd in Vladivostok, Russia, and will continue till September 4th. The main objective of this forum is to expand international cooperation and support economic development in the Asia Pacific region.
