The wrestling magic of Haryana, which works in every competition, is bringing gold showers for India! On Friday, the wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Deepak Punia added to India’s gold medal total in the CWG 2022. Punia defeated Lachlan McNeil of Canada in the men’s 65 kg final, and Malik triumphed over Ana Godinez Gonzalez of Canada in the women’s 62 kg final. Punia then defeated Muhammad Inam of Pakistan in the men’s 86 kg final.Earlier, Divya Kakran (women’s 68 kg) and Mohit Grewal (men’s 125 kg) each earned a bronze medal, while India’s Anshu Malik (women’s 57 kg) finished in second place after falling to Nigeria’s Odunayo Folasade. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games on Thursday, Sudhir earned a historic gold medal in the men’s heavyweight para powerlifting event. He began by lifting 208 kg, then moved into the lead with a second lift of 212 kg. He suffers from a disability as a result of polio.The 23-year-old Murali Sreeshankar finished day seven of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games with a leap of 8.08 metres, earning silver in the men’s long jump.
