Asish Mohapatra – The Man who created a landmark

In the podcast, Asish Mohapatra, an MBA graduate of the esteemed Indian School of Business (ISB), disclosed that he does not have an office, an assistant, or a driver.With OfBusiness, Asish Mohapatra began his entrepreneurial career in 2015. In just eight years, his company has grown to a staggering $5 billion (about Rs. 44,000 crore) in value and has generated enormous profits. The IIT Kharagpur graduate stated his company’s goal to become the first startup with a $100 million PAT (profit after tax) corporation in a podcast last year. Despite succeeding so well, he lacks a corner office, which is richly merited.

Mohapatra admitted in the podcast that he doesn’t have an office, an assistant, or a driver. He received his MBA from the esteemed Indian School of Business (ISB). Even worse, he lacks a cabin. He made these sacrifices to create a work environment based on the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity.He claimed that since its citizens uphold fundamental liberties, the US is the richest nation in the world. He claimed that he had believed that after achieving success, he would stand up for these principles. When he did, in fact, achieve great success, he created an egalitarian workplace atmosphere. He said that there are no permanent seats in his organisation. No one, he claimed, even had a reserved parking space.

He claimed that regardless of seniority, any employee who goes on business travels in economy class and stays in shared accommodations.His success philosophy is to “chase the unthinkable” and inspire everyone else to follow suit.In Gurgaon, he has an office. According to his LinkedIn page, “We aim to disrupt the B2B landscape with technology.”
He is an Odisha native.His mother was a professor of physics. She taught him the fundamentals of success. They were denied money 73 times. They did not give up though.He anticipates a significant boost in his PAT. He stated in the podcast that he anticipates his PAT to be about $80 million in FY 2023.
